Maths Treasure Journey · Last updated 13 October 2026
The short version: this is a small maths practice site for children. It stores only what it needs to remember each child's progress. It has no adverts, does not track children around the internet, and does not sell or share anyone's information.
Who runs this site
The site is run by its admin: the grown-up who gave you your login. Please ask them any question about privacy.
What the site stores about a child
- Account details: a first name or nickname, a username, the school year chosen (from Year 1 to Year 6) and a password. The password is scrambled before it is saved, so nobody, including the admin, can read it.
- Progress: which questions and games were played, the scores, coins, stars, stickers, trophies, and prizes chosen.
- Homework: homework that was set, any note the child writes, and any photo or file the child chooses to hand in.
- Scrapbook: the stickers, words and drawings the child puts in their scrapbook.
- Leagues: if a child makes or joins a league, the other children in that league can see their first name or nickname, their logo and how much XP they have earned. League chat is ready-made messages only, so nobody can type anything about themselves.
- Feedback: anything typed into the feedback box, with the name of the child who wrote it. Only the admin can read it.
- Voice recordings: only if the child chooses to record themselves saying a times table. They can delete their own recordings at any time.
The site does not ask for an email address, a surname, a date of birth, an address, a phone number or a school name. Please do not type these into a username, a note or the scrapbook.
Why it is stored, and who can see it
- It is used only to run the site: to log the child in, remember where they got to, and show their work to the admin.
- A child sees only their own things. Other children cannot see them, except what a league shows to its own members (see above). A league can only be joined with its PIN.
- The admin (the grown-up who manages the accounts, usually a parent, relative or teacher) can see every child's progress, homework, recordings and scrapbook, so that they can help.
- Nothing is shown publicly, and nothing is used for advertising.
Cookies and things saved on your device
- One login cookie keeps you logged in, and one security cookie protects the forms. The site cannot work without them.
- Your device also remembers whether sound is on or off, and which built-in voice you picked.
- There are no advertising cookies and no tracking or analytics cookies.
Other services the site uses
- Hosting: the site and its information are kept on a server rented by the people who run it.
- Google Fonts: the lettering is loaded from Google. When a page opens, your browser asks Google for the font, so Google sees your device's internet (IP) address, as it does on many websites.
- Your device's own voice: a few words (such as ones typed in the scrapbook) are read aloud by your device's built-in voice. On some devices that voice is provided by the maker of the browser over the internet.
- Donation link: if a “Support this site” link is shown, it opens a separate donation website for grown-ups. That website has its own privacy policy, and no payment details ever pass through this site.
How long it is kept
Information is kept for as long as the child's account exists. When the admin deletes an account, the child's progress, homework, files, recordings and scrapbook are deleted with it.
Your choices
A parent or guardian can ask at any time to see what is stored about their child, to have something corrected, or to have the account and everything in it deleted. Ask the admin. If you live in the UK and are unhappy with the answer, you can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
This site is made for children, so a grown-up should set up or agree to each child's account. Children: if you are not sure whether to type something about yourself, ask a grown-up first.
Changes to this page
If what the site stores changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
